Portland Roache Limestone
Created from a fossil rich portland stone bed, this piece is a large off cut from a 2,5 tonne block I am currently working on, it gave me the chance to understand the way that this particular stone works and its general qualities. The form was led by the shape of the stone as it was split off the larger block.
