Purbeck Marble on slate
The first piece in a series of work exploring the inner space within the stone and how they relate to the exterior surface and form. I shall call the series tube. It was created in a very organic manner with rough drawings as a started point. The stone is very smooth and is as much about touch as look., although this beautiful marble always delights both senses.
